In Puxin Village, the cultivators fight the Nine-Headed Kui’ao beast. They receive help from the Green Dragon, Meng Zhang. During the fight, Ran Ran recuperates the Qingming Sword (Mu Qing Ge’s sword), which was previously used to seal the Spirit Spring. Thus, Prince Su Yu understands that Xue Ran Ran is in fact Mu Qing Ge. The Spirit Spring is sealed in the Heavenly Bottle, the next step being to return it to the netherworld.

Xue Ran Ran is jealous. After losing control because of the Spirit Spring within him and hurting Ran Ran, Su Yi Shui goes into seclusion, trying to remove it. All in vain. After an attempt at ruin and with a little protection, Xue Ran Ran builds her foundation.

Then, Medicine Immortal brings her to the Memory Cave, where she sees memories of past beings, including Dun Tian, the one who gives the rare opportunity for cultivators to advance faster on their path. Afterwards, she enters the White Pool and forms her Golden Core, but suddenly Wei Jiu arrives in disguise, enters the Black Pool and absorbs part of the energy there. Ran Wu uses the Imperial Heaven-Reversing Seal to kill the cultivators at the Meridian Mountain, not knowing that it was the Crown Prince’s plot to shatter the celestial rocks and make way for the waters to flow towards the capital. Ran Wu continues with her schemes and plotting, trying to deceive everybody and hurt her sister.

Further on, he intends to borrow the young dragon’s life to extend his own, because he has been previously poisoned and is nearing his death. Qing Ge receives help from concubine Zhou. But what seemed to be a good plan and work well was discovered by Su Yu.

Ran Ran makes use of Ran Wu to gain freedom of movement inside the Eastern Palace premises.

Finally, the guardian of the Wester Mount admits his feelings for Xue Ran Ran, and they decide to be true to themselves and live accordingly. Ran Ran discovers the Silencing Spell cast on Su Yi Shui in the past, which prevented him from telling the truth about him being the Demon’s Child. The disciples are shocked to find out this thing about their Guardian.

Zhou Fei Hua safely leaves the palace to live in seclusion with her family. The Wester Sect arrive at the entrance to the netherworld, followed by the other sects, who were deceived by the Crown Prince and Mu Ran Wu into hunting them down. Su Yi Shui, Xue Ran Ran, Mu Ran Wu, Wei Jiu, Elder Tu and a few other cultivators enter the netherworld. Also, a gesture of love from Mu Qing Ge to her disciple is revealed.

Su Yi Shui succeeds in sealing the Spirit Spring in the netherworld, along with the drop from his heart, but the fallen immortal Ye Xin (the uncle who raised the Mu sisters) puts a curse on him. This causes him to lose memory of the last 20 years of his life. Ye Xin proves to be Dun Tian, the founder of the Eternal Sect. Regretting that he has sacrificed his family in order to ascend, he wants to start anew and, for this purpose, joins hands with Prince Su Yu. Su Yi Shui becomes a totally different person: arrogant, extravagant, not recognizing his disciples and treating them poorly, stuck back at the moment he wanted to kill Mu Qing Ge.

Mu Ran Wu seeks help from uncle Ye Xin to surpass her sister and eliminate her. Su Yi Shui drives away his young disciples, except Ran Ran. He keeps her close in order to retrieve his Golden Core from her body. Mr. Zeng advices Xue Ran Ran to give up on Su Yi Shui, but she refuses. Ye Xin wants Mu Ranwu to trigger a wave of demonic beast transformations around the world and Wei Jiu to open the Mount Scarlet Flame. By doing so, he can restart the Celestial Sect, which was actually the origin of the Scarlet Sect. Ye Xui was in fact Dun Tian, a cultivator who had ascended and sacrificed his family in the process. Xue Ran Ran finds out that the Cleansing-Soul Curse is unbreakable, but if the person falls in love again with the one they have forgotten, they will remember everything.

Mu Ranwu transfers back to her sister all the divine power in order to save herself; thus, Ran Ran regains her former skills and power, remembers everything from the past and the Soul Devouring Curse breaks.

He opens a way from the Scarlet Abyss to the netherworld and summons the Spirit Spring. Afterwards, he wreaks havoc throughout the world. Finally, Tu Jiu Yuan leaves the Celestial Sect.

The immortals cannot return to their respective sects because Dun Tian has put barriers which prevent them from doing so. The Green Dragon was kidnapped by Dun Tian. The Three Thousand Realms Tower is built on Mount Wester. Wang Sui Zhi sacrifices himself for Mu Ran Wu, then she loses her mind. In the Tower, there are two shadows of Su Yi Shui and one of Dun Tian. A fierce battle begins.

Wei Jiu and Elder Tu seem to get together. Bai Bai Shan becomes sovereign of the Wester Sect, and he does a good job reviving and managing it. Su Yi Shui and Mu Ran Ran get married and go travelling around the world. Later on, they are shown to have 3 children and take turns doing the house chores.
