Follows the story of the beloved and internationally acclaimed Swedish actress Lena Nyman, based on 17 paper bags with diaries that she left behind.

She has been on stage for over sixty years and has played all the great female roles. Now she is working on a new play, but at the same time she is facing the end at the age of 83 – and it doesn’t feel nice. Already in 1969, Marie met her great love, the actor Jan Malmsjö. Now she talks about the great passion that struck her even though she was already married, and about what everyday love looks like in older age.

Christmas 1945. In a train from Stockholm to Berlin are a motley collection. It is the failure of the author Gunnar who wants to leave his old life and make a contribution in Berlin; physician Henry who plan to marry Marie and likewise Henry's current wife Karin, who he plans to kill during the journey, the middle-aged gay couple Pompe and Sixten, a soldier going to Uppsala but is on the wrong train: the cheerful and cynical old Margaret, and a dressed elf and a surly conductor. With the train are also a number of Baltic refugees accompanied by two nuns to be sent to Germany.

Not everyone, however, feels like cooperating; her two leading men seem to be competing over who gets most of the spotlight, much to the annoyance of the female star, while the troupe's makeup artist has a plan of his own.

Göran buys a house in a suburb. It is in need of some repairs, but Göran believes himself capable of repairing it himself with the help of some cheap craftsmen. A men's choir decides to go to Sweden and Germany. Shortly before their departure the choir director, Max, dies and is mourned by the choir and especially by their accompanist Magga, whom he was in love with. In deference to Max's memory, they embark upon a mission of song and companionship, in order to adjust to their loss.

Ronia lives happily in her father's castle until she comes across a new playmate, Birk, in the nearby dark forest. The two explore the wilderness, braving dangerous Witchbirds and Rump-Gnomes. But when their families find out Birk and Ronia have been playing together, they forbid them to see each other again. Indeed, their fathers are competing robber chieftains and bitter enemies. Now the two spunky children must try to tear down the barriers that have kept their families apart for so long.

Gary's wife goes away for a week and Gary expects a week of hard work at the office. After having left her at the airport, he misses the bus. But the car mechanic Lasse gives him a ride. Although they are unlike each other, they get to know each other. Gary makes a mess of everything and can't avoid Lasse.

The feeble-minded Sven's mother dies and he gets work as a farm-hand at the rich, affluent Höglund's farm. He has to work without pay and sleeps together with the cows. This television adaptation presents Molière’s comedy The School of Wives, centering on Arnolphe, an older bachelor who plans to marry his young ward, Agnès, believing her innocence will ensure his control. His scheme is disrupted when Agnès falls in love with the younger Horace, setting off a series of deceptions and confrontations that undermine Arnolphe’s authority.

This farce cocerns Sweden's King Gustav (Per Oscarsson who plays all the lead roles). The royal monarchs of three major European countries are patiently or not-so-patiently hovering on the sidelines while watching the future King Gustav closely. No single king appears to possess the brains he was born with, so history seems to be made by default, as it were. Gustav does blunder around, but not enough to miss being crowned king. As a result, France, England, and Germany invade Sweden hoping to take by force what they could not gain by incompetence.

One Monday morning, a thousand children leave the suburb of Farsta and go to Stockholm to occupy the Royal Castle. The children have formed a group called S.O.P.O.R. as a protest against the way adults treat them and have destroyed their future. They demand that the robots in the industry are replaced by humans to create job opportunities. They take the royal family as hostages.

Alf Sjöberg (1903-1980) was Swedens greatest theater director of the 20th century and as a film director the first of international importance since the silent film era. He won the Grand Prix du Festival at the Cannes Film Festival twice.

Other segments include dramatizations of the directors' childhood memories, as well as interviews with several stuffed animal owners.

Miss Fleggman's Mustache is not so much a revue as a musical comedy depicting 60 years of Swedish social history, with music by Gunnar Svensson and directed by the four actors in the original cast under the name Tage-Lena EkFredson. At the premiere on January 14, 1982, at Göta Lejon, some of AB Svenska Ord's leading comedians, Hasse Alfredson, Tage Danielsson, Lena Nyman, and Gösta Ekman, took on the play's many different roles, which reflect the four temperaments: the tired Frida Fleggman, the angry Kurt S Wresig, the cheerful Count Niklas von Sanguin, and the melancholic Alvar Dysterkvist. New characters quickly enter the scene, including Kolerik Wresig, who pretends to be Kurt Wresig's son, and Dysterkvist's voluptuous Norwegian daughter Hedvig, played by Tage in an unlikely guise.

Svea hund, complete title Svea Hund på Göta Lejon (Svea Dog at Göta Lejon), was a Swedish variety show produced by AB Svenska Ord. It was written by Hans Alfredsson and Tage Danielsson, commonly known as Hasseåtage and directed by Tage. The show premièred on 15 February (although it had a sneak première on 9 February) 1976 on the theater Göta Lejon in Stockholm. It was the last of the three "Dog-revues"; the first was Gröna hund (Green Dog) the second being Gula Hund (Yellow Dog). Both Hasse and Tage starred in various roles. Other cast members were Gösta Ekman, Monica Zetterlund, Lena Nyman, and Tommy Körberg. The song quartet EBBA (Lena Eriksson, Lars Bagge, Kersint Bagge and Bo Andersson) and Gunnar Svenssons Bandhundband.

Nudity, explicit sex, and controversial politics kept this film from being shown in the US while its seizure by Customs was appealed.

The same movie with the same characters, cast and crew as I am Curious (Yellow), but with some different scenes and a different political slant. The political focus in Blue is personal relationships, religion, prisons and sex. Blue omits much of the class consciousness and non-violence interviews of the first version. Yellow and Blue are the colors of the Swedish flag.
