Thierry Ardisson has brought together almost 400 advertising clips to relive the era of the conquest of minds and wallets.

Slick 1980's rocker Robert Palmer helped define a decade of excess with his lyrics of girls, money, sex, and convertibles. An artist that was almost as well-known for his music as his videos - and most notably the unforgettable imagery in Addicted to Love which became an instant classic. The Power Station Video EP is a video by The Power Station, released by EMI-PMI in 1986. The EP contains promotional videos of the first three singles by The Power Station, which were all released in 1985. These singles are "Some Like It Hot", "Get It On (Bang a Gong)" and "Communication". Model Caroline Cossey is featured in "Some Like It Hot". "Communication" contains an array of footage showing communication in the world, with clips of the band performing the song in the studio. The EP was re-released as a DVD, which was part of The Power Station (2 Disc Set) in 2005.

The Midnight Special is an American late-night musical variety series that aired on NBC during the 1970s and early 1980s, created and produced by Burt Sugarman. It premiered as a special on August 19, 1972, then began its run as a regular series on February 2, 1973; its last episode was on May 1, 1981. The ninety-minute program followed the Friday night edition of The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. The show typically featured guest hosts, except for a period from July 1975 through March 1976 when singer Helen Reddy served as the regular host. Wolfman Jack served as the announcer and frequent guest host. The program's theme song, a traditional folk song called "Midnight Special", was performed by Johnny Rivers.
