This is the third in a film series produced by Fugazi's Brendan Canty and directed by filmmaker Christoph Green. It features live performances by The Shins, Sleater-Kinney, The Decemberists, Mirah, The Thermals, Quasi, The Gossip, Wet Confetti, The Planet The, Lifesavas, The Ready, and Tom Heinl. The crew travels from town to town filming bands performing in houses that're about to be demolished or burned to the ground. In one day they document the house, the bands, and the demolition, then put it together in a 50-minute movie and move on to the next town. Extras include an extended slide show of stills of the day's bands as well as stills of the destruction and film production.

BURN TO SHINE MANIFESTO 1) Gather local bands on one day to play live in a house or building that is going to be destroyed. 2) Each band plays one song and performs their song twice. 3) No overdubs. 4) Film the building's destruction. 5) Edit and display in chronological order. 6) That is all.

Gossip fans can rejoice: Beth Ditto is back! The vivacious singer is now fully dedicated to her solo career and has released a new album. As energetic and humorous as ever, the US-American presented her brand new songs in Lille in the fall of 2017, as well as Gossip hits such as "Heavy Cross", "Love Long Distance" and "Standing in the Way of Control".

The thirty-year-old, fresh from the Gossip split, seemed in a joyful mood, almost incredulous, to tread the stage of the famous Montreux Jazz. Beth Ditto, in a sequined dress, was in charge of warming up the audience before the legendary Pet Shop Boys.

Celebrating International Women's Day, Gossip perform their first UK show in four years on Friday 8 March, giving 6 Music the global premiere of unreleased material.
