Young boy's family is also anxious to finally see a man they haven't seen for so long. With the appearance of a gangster-movie hero, the boy's uncle is full of interesting stories adding even more flame to the child's imagination. Everything seems perfect and surreal as if almost they are completely sucked into a world of imagination, up until one horrific event reveals the real truth about uncle's life and deeds.[2]

Five young adults with entirely different personalities become neighbors after looking for a flat. Smaller flat is rented by Irena - ex-miss and model who is "constantly" working on self, and tries to fix own problems with her look, and Lucija, Irenas polar opposite - confused girl who's experiences life around her in a weird way. Once they all settle in one place, anything is possible.

Whilst working on the case of a porn smuggling ring, private investigator and war veteran Martin decides to watch some of the films the police had confiscated, partially out of loneleyness and partially out of wanting to find out more information about the people involved in it. However, when he recognizes a familiar face in one of the films, he decides to travel to Belgrade, wanting to apologize to the actress for the trauma he caused her during the Croatian War of Indpendance.

A painter comes to the hospital for scanning, believed he has cancer. He carries a gun to shot himself just in case if it proves that he's right. When the results turn out to be negative, he's perplexed because it's actually life that is rigorous, and should he use his weapon anyway.

On his dangerous journey, he meets Lucija, a female soldier who runs an orphanage, a commander who got back from the Foreign Legion and runs a defense line from a discotechque, flies an old biplane into battle and meets a Serbian general who keeps Croatian POWs in an old factory.

Still today, years after the war, some regions are contaminated with broken families, poverty, crime and low-grade uranium. In the middle of nowhere in Western Herzegovina, at a NATO military training range, a nine-year-old girl called Alica, together with her uncle Valentin, collects shells and scraps of grenades to sell on the black market. Valentin dies of cancer, Alica's diagnosis is not good but there's no money for therapy. Alica's journey through the Land of Wonders begins.

Story about people and their destinies, frustrated by war traumas who try to erase memories of their past.

Eastern Croatian front, December 1991. Famed violinist Ivan Lesjak, his best friend and their travelling band perform for the exhausted soldiers on the frontlines. During one of these private concerts, the camp they're staying in is bombareded by Serbian forces. In the midst of the chaos, Ivan's best friend looses and arm and dies from his injuries soon after. Traumtized by what he saw, Ivan decides to leave the country and keep his parents company in their viennese apartment, however, the lights and crowds of the metropolis further increase his anxiety, until he meets Marina, another Croatian refugee who came to work in Austria as a nurse.
