L’Isola del Cinema Festival visited Silvano Agosti in his historic hall in the Prati district of Rome. The meeting with the author, director, poet and philosopher, famous in the artistic world for his stubborn independence, with the young writer Stefano Scanu, gave rise to a long conversation about cinema, about life, about our future, about some of his films chosen as a tribute to the festival. This short film acquires a further value due to the sad coincidence of the definitive closure of the Azzurro Scipioni theatre a few days later, a mourning for all passionate and romantic Romans.

The lads rape one of the girls, and strangely, the victim ends up falling in love with one of the rapists. In the second story, two young bucks who have been friends for ages spend a weekend at one of their wealthy father's homes. Eventually, they become much more than friends. The third tale deals with the emotions of an abandoned lover. While moping about, he watches TV and sees the picture of a Bengal tiger. Soon he becomes obsessed by the creature and spends many hours observing it at the zoo. His lover decides to return, but he spurns her. In the last story, a homeless fellow lives in an abandoned car. Among the locals he is known for his wisdom. One day, the doorkeeper of an adjacent building goes to see the derelict.

A married couple lives for fifteen years in the desert of marriage in an unnatural sentimental existence. Then the question of an abortion arises. The absence of a reciprocal desire causes a heavy and untrue behavior. They are practically two puppets. But one day something special happens in their life. A new existence starts, based on a more careful attention of the one for the other. The search of a love' s desire finally becomes credible and needed. And day by day the two rediscover themselves and learn how to really love each other.

This was the guiding idea to which we entrusted, with considerable emotion, our personal memory and the archive footage that we took and collected during those years and which represent the physical body of the battles fought and victories gained everywhere during those ten years. Their value, in a country like Italy which has lost its memory, is a rare witness to the power of human dignity in a constant struggle for its redemption.
