The life of the epoch-making master of martial arts cinema, King Hu.

This is a collection of three films by emerging Taiwanese directors all revolving around the theme of strong, young women involved in mayhem of some sort. In all of them the theme of alienation within the crowded streets of Taiwan runs strong.

Wang Wen-xin, a revered novelist, is known for his deep appreciation of words and slow, deliberate writing style. He co-founded the literary magazine Modern Literature with classmates from National Taiwan University. His notable work, “Family Catastrophe,” published in 1973, was praised for its innovative language and realistic portrayal of interpersonal relationships. Another significant work, “Backed against the Sea,” took 25 years to complete and is celebrated for its modernist beauty. Wang is currently working on a new book, though its release date is unconfirmed.

Three young souls, with different purposes, comes to the coast and search for the meaning of their life, a journey considerably longer than any of them has taken before.

A violin teacher from a working-class background embarks on a brave journey in search of true love. The absurd process gradually makes her realize that returning to her true self is the only shortcut to happiness.

A story about sex workers' lives in Taiwan, the problem in the policy of abolishing publicly registered prostitutes and the system of the law enforcement.
