A series of interconnected short films are the backdrop for a maniac screenwriter who pitches insane storylines featuring some of Hollywood's biggest and brightest. In some countries, like the United Kingdom and the Netherlands, the structure differs. Instead of a pitch, the films are connected by a group of three teenagers searching for the most banned film in the world, Movie 43, which will ultimately lead to the destruction of civilization.

After a night of heavy drinking, charismatic sociopath Steve wakes up with a strange girl in his bed. To make things worse, his girlfriend Emily is on her way over to confront him. To extricate himself from a seemingly hopeless situation, Steve hatches a desperate plan, which will test even his considerable abilities to deny the forces of reality.

Mikey likes to get high. Especially before bed. But you know what ruins a good high? A ghost with bloody teeth standing in Mikey's kitchen just breaking her ikea dishes. So Mikey goes to check it out and ask the ghost wtf his problem is. It's simple, he was killed in this house 150 years ago to the day and he's here to haunt the descendants of the man who murdered him. Fair enough, says Mikey. But a corporation actually bought the building back in the '80s so the descendants are long gone. The ghost is sad. But Mikey can still help. A targeted internet search will do the trick. And in the process, she'll teach the ghost about modern times while she helps him find the right jerk to haunt.
