Yeo Joon Han

A man lies in bed, paralyzed. He can still see and hear and in turn must listen to the back and forth between a series of idiots. Malaysia is put under the satirical microscope; politicians and lost aircrafts and everything in between.

"Day and Night" is an omnibus release by William Kwok-Wai of 3 short films consisting of 3 Malaysian filmmakers Ho Yuhang, Charlotte Lim and Yeo Joon Han, reflecting their personal feelings about the health of Malaysian society. "TRESPASSED" by Ho Yuhang is about a girl who misses her father slowly becomes entirely possessed by grief. It seems as if an outside force has taken control of her emotions. "BITE" by Charlotte Lim is about a school girl, meticulously observed by a patient camera in a small, yet sensitive story. Perhaps a lesson in life, for it isn't as innocent as it seems and "BEDSIDE MANNERS" by Yeo Joon Han is about a man who lies in bed, paralyzed. He can still see and hear and has to suffer the stupid talk of a bunch of idiots. Satire on all sorts of things in Malaysia.

A young Singaporean engineer, working for a multinational conglomerate, has to reckon with meddlesome corporate oversight after designing a revolutionary 8-in-1 soy bean processing machine that is simply too durable for mercantile interests.

Joseph's world plunges into darkness when he defies a fortune-teller's prophecy and asks May to marry him. May dies and Joseph tries in vain to contact her in the afterlife, invoking instead the ghost of a comatose man who was with May the day she died as well as several other spirits that lurk constantly in the darkest recesses of our surroundings.

This story is based on a period in Joon Han’s life when he was seriously contemplating suicide.

A disillusioned Malaysian film director battles strange forces hell-bent on destroying him as he embarks on the production of his latest soulless mainstream movie.
