The royal squire George tastes a bite of a magical snake and understands the language of animals. He therefore sets off on a journey accompanied by Stephen, with whom he grew up since childhood, and a small dog named Lucky, whose life George saved. George is faced with a whole series of adventures and surprises along the way. He has no idea that Stephen is jealous and is not as sincere a friend as he seemed. Any attempt to achieve a more believable depiction is destroyed by the staging's grandeur, and in the end the result is an awkward piece, suitable at most for celebrating the relevant national holidays.
