A portrait of Flemming Quist Møller's life, both as the man, the musician and the artist. Throughout the narrative, we encounter his work with film, music, theater, plays, satire drawings, book illustrations, paintings, screenwriting; we experience that he, as a communicator and narrator, is always on the side of the weak, working with the simple, straightforward and human.

Dirch Passer wasn't just Denmark's funniest man and most beloved comedian. He was also a workaholic and in a constant pursuit of his audience's laughter. During the final days of WWII, chaos ruled. The German submarine U-461 went down along with its entire crew just off the coast of Denmark. An uptight, confused man lives with his wife and maid next to a big tree. He suspects people live up in the tree when he keeps finding various items and trash under the tree. The government appointed street cleaner doesn't do much, except occasionally take trashy people off the street and into the garbage. He suspects the maid of stealing food and sexual perversions, and the police precinct is literally a farm with insane cops imprisoning lamps and horses.

Two men disappear at the same time, with one of them committing suicide using dynamite. The police try to figure out which one died and what happened to the other.

The entire population of Bomø has gathered for the big day. Finally, after 56 years, the bridge connecting Bomø to the mainland has been completed. A very respectable married couple, dentist Rudolf Thomsen and Helene, his sweet and quiet wife. He is deeply absorbed in his dental work and expects to be rewarded for his diligence with a prestigious position at a clinic in Amsterdam.
