A little boy, named Prdelka, traveled with his father from Prague to the country during the Second World War. There, the boy became friends with a local fisherman and learned to catch the golden eels. Eventually, his father and mother were arrested by the Nazis and the boy stayed with the fisherman.

Government bureaucrat Ludvik becomes suspicious after several colleagues disappear and he overhears something strange at a cocktail party. Returning home with his wife, Anna, he finds their house under surveillance and spends a fraught night worrying about his possible arrest in the morning. Marital difficulties come to light as Ludvik and his wife attempt to act normal in front of the cameras while dredging up their problems out of sight.

Loosely inspired by a real criminal court case. It took place in Prague and the Tatra Mountains between 1926 and 1928 and was later described as one of the biggest, if not the biggest, cases the pre-Munich Republic had ever seen. Nevertheless, the police and judiciary at the time failed to clarify and close the case in such a way that it would not raise legitimate questions long after the trial had ended. Even though the court handed down its verdicts, the case remained open in a way, and this is also reflected in the script, which remained faithful to the facts in its basic outline," says screenwriter Václav Šašek, author of the two-part television production The Trial of the Martyn Murderers...

In one royal forest, where coal miner Patočka lives and works, the friendly dragon Mrak settles down. The king's lackeys come across him while hunting and, terrified, go to sell the news to the king. He is currently organizing his daughter Viola's birthday party. The hunters describe the dragon in terrifying colors, and so the king concludes that the dragon will, according to tradition, want the king's daughter. So he announces a reward for killing the dragon, but no one wants to fight him. The only one who applies is the princess's favorite, the lutenist Marian, but the king does not like him, so he throws him out. Her brother Jan wants to save the princess, but the king doesn't want to allow it...

Princess Valerie is a bit spoiled and bossy. So when she sniffs the magic rose of the devil's grandmother, whom she had previously offended, she loses her voice. And this causes real hell for Valerie, because the lady-in-waiting pretends to be her spokesperson and passes off everything she herself wishes as the princess's opinions. On her advice, the king organizes a ball, to which the princess is to wear an ugly green dress that does not suit her, and to get Albino of the Capes, whom the lady-in-waiting has chosen for her, as her groom. When Valerie gets rid of her nasty nature and finds out who really loves her, the rose will certainly help to undo what she has done.

Inseparable friends Štěpán and Kendy are students in their final year of high school. When they are in the principal's office after the trouble with the rather scandalous song "On the Carpet", the school principal gives them the idea of ​​rehearsing a theater performance. They decide on Tyl's Forest Maiden in a rather unconventional version - with music, singing, and several unusual props. While Kendy sees the theater as not only an opportunity to enjoy himself, for Štěpán it is a chance to get closer to the charming Marcela Borůvková. What was originally just a student recession soon starts to get out of hand for both authors, not only because of the quirky cast but also because of information in the press, which is taken care of by the father of one of the classmates. The business is gaining in size, and even a television station is contacted, which shows an interest in making a program about the performance. At that moment, the disaster seems inevitable to Štěpán and Kendy.

Even the best of resolutions can crumble, especially when late paternal feelings are echoed. Although the protagonist is a lecturer in ethics at the university, explaining the principles of good behaviour to the students, he himself experiences many confusions and troubles when he tries to get his teenage daughter from his first marriage admitted to medical school. The eloquent, self-confident man slowly turns into a bully, who also defies his own principles.

Prince David loves to fence, but when he breaks a mirror in the heat of battle, the punishment falls on his maid Bela. Immediately, his father the king decides that his son must be married. But how to choose the right princess? With three tasks, which the princesses will be helped to complete by the maid Bela, disguised as a man. So it's easy to see who will get the prince as a husband.

Hockey requires great commitment and even sacrifice from an early age. The thirteen-year-old players of a school hockey team, led by an experienced and perceptive coach, struggle with various problems of their age, from first loves to low self-confidence and disciplinary problems, but in the end they are all consumed by a sense of responsibility. The film touches on the dark side of the demanding sport, but it often acts childishly and simplifies the complex motivations of teenage boys.

Mrs. Gábi Stolařová, called Madame, keeps a close eye on order, but otherwise she runs the place in a family spirit and makes sure that the customers are satisfied. This time, director Július Matula has focused on a young engineer who, with high hopes, accepts a position in a famous agricultural cooperative. However, he soon discovers that behind the proclaimed phrases there is in fact hypocrisy and protectionism. The authors criticise the fact that incompetence is often covered up, that shortcomings end up being cleverly camouflaged, that the social mood favours the mediocre and the adaptable. The hauers present a statement that is courageous, so to speak, within the limits of the law, and call for increased work consciousness.

This satirical comedy set in a toy factory is an attempt to take a humorous look at our manufacturing shortcomings. Supply manager Tesař performs his duties with extreme dedication. Former sailor Kotrba, nicknamed the Admiral, has one dream, to take his own ship to sea. He's been building it for five years and now it's finished, but he still needs money to buy an engine. He asks for financial support from his friend Pošmurný. But he uses the excuse of his daughter's wedding. He has money set aside for a dowry, so he cannot lend his friend anything. Then Kotrba gets lucky - he wins a voucher for goods worth 10,000. But there's a hitch. He can only redeem the voucher for goods at the local unity, where he has become the 100,000th visitor. But Admiral Kotrba is foxy about it. Let's see what he comes up with!

A paraphrase of the classic fairy tale The Gingerbread House, created in 1983 based on one of Josef Lada's Naughty Fairy Tales. And because it is an "inside out" fairy tale, it is not the children who get lost in the forest, but the magical gingerbread man and woman. They see the cottage from a tree, and when they start feeding on the shingles, they fall into a goat pen. To escape their captivity, the cottage is miraculously transformed into a gingerbread house. But mom and dad soon start eating too much gingerbread.

A butcher and his wife are hardworking, but their only interest is in material possessions. That's why they are upset that their little son is interested in something as useless as chess. And his grandfather supports the boy in this. The parents would like to get their son on TV for an audition, and he does end up appearing there, but in an unexpected role...

The pre-Christmas period in a household with four small, temperamental children creates a comedy in itself. But when problems with the password lock are added to the confusion, the fun is guaranteed. A busy father of a family buys one of these ingenious gadgets. This invention is supposed to make it impossible for his children to constantly search for Christmas presents. The tense atmosphere and the interplay of random circumstances mean that even trivial problems begin to take on completely different dimensions in the mother's eyes. The previously trusting wife interprets her husband's chess training, mysterious phone calls.... And to make matters worse, the father forgets the password to the lock. Everything culminates when the wife discovers a present under the tree that was probably intended for another woman. However, the mysteries are not solved until New Year's Eve, when - surprise surprise - the mother-in-law intervenes in the story.

In the second half of the eighties, this film was shown in cinemas as a full-length series of well-known fairy tales with popular characters: Puppy, Mike the cat, Křemílek and Vochomůrka, Dorotka, Kreček and Brundibári.

A young man studying law finds a place to stay with a young conductor, thinking that he will find an idyllic Lesser Town atmosphere here and will be able to prepare for his exams in peace. The house is inhabited by distinctive characters. The owner, who sometimes loses his memory, and his lovely, modest daughter of marriageable age live here, as do an unsuccessful painter and his temperamental wife, as well as a certain mysterious Provazník, who writes anonymous letters to his neighbors in order to have malicious fun at their expense. The life of the famous French writer Alexander Dumas the Elder. Screenwriter Jaroslav Dietl did not hide his admiration for this literary giant, and in addition to the screenplay he also wrote a three-part TV play about Dumas (starring Vladimír Menšík). In Kachyn's film, Dumas played the father and son of the Štěpánková brothers, and it was a very difficult and difficult task for these young actors.
