The best of Led Zeppelin's legendary 1973 appearances at Madison Square Garden. Interspersed throughout the concert footage are behind-the-scenes moments with the band. The Song Remains the Same is Led Zeppelin at Madison Square Garden in NYC concert footage colorfully enhanced by sequences which are supposed to reflect each band member's individual fantasies and hallucinations. Led Zeppelin is a double DVD set first released in 2003. It represents the first official video release of Led Zeppelin's live material since 1976's The Song Remains the Same. The recording of the DVD spans the years from 1969 to 1979 and includes performances from the Royal Albert Hall in 1970, Madison Square Garden in 1973, Earls Court in 1975, and Knebworth in 1979. Extras provided on the set include a 1969 promo film for Communication Breakdown, a short performance on the French TV show 'Tous En Scene' in 1969, a short performance on the Danish TV Show 'TV-Byen' in 1969, a performance on the British TV shoe 'Supershow' in 1969, a performance of Immigrant Song from the band's show at the Sydney Showground in February 1972, an interview with the NYC Press Conference in 1970, an Australian press conference in 1972, an interview with The Old Grey Whistle Test, the Over The Hills And Far Away promo (1990) and the Travelling Riverside Blues promo (1990).

The band wanted to capture the show for posterity, but Whitehead was under the impression he would make a documentary. He and cameraman Ernie Vincze captured the majority of the footage shot that night. In the spring of 1970, he would go on to edit a 42 minute rough cut of the footage using temp audio recorded by the film crew, as Led Zeppelin, unhappy with their performance, refused them access to the multi-track recordings. Whitehead then planned to film Led Zeppelin at the Bath Festival. Unfortunately due to heavy traffic entering the showgrounds, he and Vincze weren't able to film the band's arrival via helicopter, but proceeded to capture moments in the audience, backstage, and at the show itself. Whitehead would produce a B&W workprint of this footage in summer 1970 and also hoped to film the members at home, but upon receiving no input from the band, the project was shelved.

Atlantic's Bernard de Bosson and International Promotion Manager Philippe Rault organized a promotional visit for the band, with a performance on Tous En Scene TV Show in Paris. They were also scheduled for live radio interviews on Inter's Pop Club and Europe1 "Campus". Tous En Scene: First broadcast on July 24, 1969, Sept. 5, 1969, November 28, 1970 and re-discovered in 1991. Available on the official Led Zeppelin dvd, released in 2003. This release contains all known clips of Led Zeppelin's on/off stage appearances ranging from 1969-1980. Also included is every reunion performance (besides the officially released O2 Concert from 2007), promo videos, post Zeppelin interviews and advertisments. Most videos were transfered from their orginal master reels or are newly upgrades. Also included is a disc with Jimmy's pre-Zeppelin film recordings. This set contains over 17 hours of rare Led Zeppelin film material on 7 DVD discs.

This colour footage was recorded live for a British TV show called "Supershow". While it demonstrates the difficulties inherent in trying to convey the live Zeppelin experience in the ill-equipped TV studios of the day, the fact that the band still managed to make such a good fist of it makes fascinating viewing. After that though, it was decided: no more TV Shows. From now on Led Zeppelin would only be seen performing together live on stage - or not at all. -- Dazed and Confused

British rock titans Led Zeppelin served a residency at Earl's Court in London, England in May of 1975, performing on the 17th, 18th, 23rd, 24th and 25th of that month. In The Court of King James provides a front row seat to the 3 and a half-hour performance given on May 24th, 1975.

Led Zeppelin performed a show January 9, 1970 at the hall, and the show was released in its entirety in the 2003 Led Zeppelin DVD boxed set.

Believe it or not, there almost was a feature film about the 1969 Texas International Pop Festival which, just like the one-and-only Woodstock concerts held two weeks earlier, had its entirety preserved both on film and reel-to-reel tape. However, unlike the legendary documentation of the New York festivities that dominated big screens worldwide the following summer, the Lone Star State’s contribution to classic-rock cinema never made it past the very-rough-cut stage. Thankfully, though, this feature- length “workprint” of the film is now available for a fantastic peek at what might have been.

How the West Was Won is a live triple album by the English rock group Led Zeppelin, released by Atlantic Records on compact disc on 27 May 2003, DVD-Audio on 7 October 2003 and Blu-ray audio in 2018. The recordings are taken from two 1972 performances in California during their tour of North America: L.A. Forum (25 June 1972) and Long Beach Arena (27 June 1972).
