Carl Barron

Rove, formerly Rove Live, was an Australian television variety show which premiered on the Nine Network on 22 September 1999, before moving to Network Ten which aired the program from 2000 until November, 2009. The show was hosted by comedian Rove McManus, and featured an ensemble cast, who presented various segments throughout the course of the show. The show won the Logie Award for "Most Popular Light Entertainment Program" five times.

Each episode involves performers walking through a door into an unknown situation, greeted by the line "Thank God you're here!". They then had to improvise their way through the scene. At the end of each episode a winner was announced.

When Helen Tudor-Fisk's life falls apart, she takes a job in a small suburban firm specialising in wills and probate assuming that, because the clients are dead she won't have to deal with people.

Each week, Julia will invite one of Australia’s finest comics to take a trip down Memory Lane. And Memory Bus Route. And Memory Bike Path. Julia and her guest will make their way from the seat of childhood memories, the family home, through the surrounding neighbourhood and all the way to the school gate, reliving formative moments, talking about life, love and achievement, about the past, present and future. What Julia discovers about her guests will explain, well, almost everything. Time-travelling guests Carl Barron, Noeline Brown, John Safran, Alan Brough and Shane Jacobson will share with Julia where they stacked their first bike, stole their first kiss and learned the art of a withering comeback.

After making over 300,000 Australians laugh on his last tour and taking a year off to star in his first feature film, Carl returns at his brilliant best with his brand new show.

Carl Barron’s topics jump from one to the other and back again, until you find yourself helpless with laughter. What a show this was; a mixture of stand up, musical attempts and crazy facial expressions. Barron captured his audience from the word “go”. People were laughing so hard they were either crying or nearly falling out of their chairs.
