After a charity show in London and a six-date tour in 1999 that was captured for an album (Live at the Greek), the Black Crowes and Jimmy Page returned in 2000 for a nationwide tour that featured a conglomeration of Led Zeppelin favorites and songs new and old from the Crowes. This production, mounted December 10, 1998, commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, a milestone underscored with between-songs informational segments that succinctly promote the beneficiary's themes of tolerance and social responsibility. With Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, and Jimmy Page as successive lead guitarists, The Yardbirds were one of rock's greatest bands. Kicking into high gear in 1964 behind Eric Clapton's blistering lead guitar, the led the British blues revival, becoming the prototype for late-'60s psychedelia. When Clapton left, soon joining John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, Jeff Beck stepped in. Then Jimmy Page joined, and he and Beck shared lead guitar in what was potentially the best rock band in the world. When Beck departed in 1966 (forming the Jeff Beck Group the following year), Page took the band into a heavier, more experimental direction that eventually became the genesis of Led Zeppelin. In this definitive documentary, the band performs all their classic tracks, and the members recall the explosive beginning of rock's second wave--when they were the most blues-wailing band in the land.

The Knebworth Festival 1979 consisted of two concerts performed by the English rock band Led Zeppelin and other artists at Knebworth House, Hertfordshire, England, in August 1979. British rock titans Led Zeppelin served a residency at Earl's Court in London, England in May of 1975, performing on the 17th, 18th, 23rd, 24th and 25th of that month. In The Court of King James provides a front row seat to almost 4-hour performance given on May 25th, 1975.

The band wanted to capture the show for posterity, but Whitehead was under the impression he would make a documentary. He and cameraman Ernie Vincze captured the majority of the footage shot that night. In the spring of 1970, he would go on to edit a 42 minute rough cut of the footage using temp audio recorded by the film crew, as Led Zeppelin, unhappy with their performance, refused them access to the multi-track recordings. Whitehead then planned to film Led Zeppelin at the Bath Festival. Unfortunately due to heavy traffic entering the showgrounds, he and Vincze weren't able to film the band's arrival via helicopter, but proceeded to capture moments in the audience, backstage, and at the show itself. Whitehead would produce a B&W workprint of this footage in summer 1970 and also hoped to film the members at home, but upon receiving no input from the band, the project was shelved.

Three sold-out shows at Madison Square Garden,which concluded the Houses of the Holy tour were filmed for a motion picture, The Song Remains the Same. These are songs recorded at that time, but not used in the film. Atlantic's Bernard de Bosson and International Promotion Manager Philippe Rault organized a promotional visit for the band, with a performance on Tous En Scene TV Show in Paris. They were also scheduled for live radio interviews on Inter's Pop Club and Europe1 "Campus". Tous En Scene: First broadcast on July 24, 1969, Sept. 5, 1969, November 28, 1970 and re-discovered in 1991. Available on the official Led Zeppelin dvd, released in 2003. This colour footage was recorded live for a British TV show called "Supershow". While it demonstrates the difficulties inherent in trying to convey the live Zeppelin experience in the ill-equipped TV studios of the day, the fact that the band still managed to make such a good fist of it makes fascinating viewing. After that though, it was decided: no more TV Shows. From now on Led Zeppelin would only be seen performing together live on stage - or not at all. -- Dazed and Confused
