The Raccoons of the Tama Hills are being forced from their homes by the rapid development of houses and shopping malls. As it becomes harder to find food and shelter, they decide to band together and fight back. The Raccoons practice and perfect the ancient art of transformation until they are even able to appear as humans in hilarious circumstances.

One evening, Princess Sakura is attacked by a man. At that time, the Princess could not see his face and only sees a tattoo on his body. Because of that that night, Princess Sakura falls in love with the man. In order to find the man she gives up everything and gets the same identical tattoo. The princess then works as a prostitute. Meanwhile Gonsuke is the man who attacked Princess Sakura. He also stole a scroll and, because of that, he is chased by assassins.

Four farmers spend the night at a campfire. Three of them talk about work, nature and weather, while one of them has dreams about buying his own plot.
