WEC 17: Halloween Fury 4 was a mixed martial arts event promoted by World Extreme Cagefighting on October 14, 2005 at the Tachi Palace Hotel & Casino in Lemoore, California. A light heavyweight tournament was held with the winner being crowned the champion and given a deal with the UFC.

Strikeforce: Triple Threat was the fourth mixed martial arts event promoted by Strikeforce. The event took place at the HP Pavilion at San Jose in San Jose, California on December 8, 2006. The main card featured the Strikeforce debut of Gina Carano.

KOTC 8: Bombs Away was an MMA event held on April 29, 2001 at the Colusa Casino in Williams, California, United States.

Pancrase: Eyes of Beast 2 was an event held on March 10, 1995, at the Yokohama Cultural Gymnasium in Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan.

UFC 49: Unfinished Business was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. It featured the anticipated rubber match between Light Heavyweight Champion Vitor Belfort and Randy Couture, following a disappointing doctor's stoppage in their last encounter at UFC 46.

Pancrase: Yes, We Are Hybrid Wrestlers 1 was the first mixed martial arts event held by Pancrase Hybrid Wrestling. It took place at the Tokyo Bay NK Hall in Urayasu, Chiba, Japan on September 21, 1993. The card featured many future MMA champions.

Pride 2 was a mixed martial arts event held by KRS-Pride (later renamed Pride Fighting Championships). It took place at Yokohama Arena in Yokohama, Japan on March 15, 1998. Kazushi Sakuraba, Mark Kerr, Vernon White, and Marco Ruas all made their Pride debuts at this event. In addition to the MMA events, there were also two kickboxing events.

Pancrase: Yes, We Are Hybrid Wrestlers 2 was a mixed martial arts event held on October 14, 1993 at the Tsuyuhashi Sports Center in Nagoya, Aichi, Japan. The event featured future King of Pancrase champions Masakatsu Funaki, Bas Rutten, Ken Shamrock, and Minoru Suzuki. Headlining the promotion's second mma event was future UFC Hall of Famer Ken Shamrock against Kazuo Takahashi. Other notable fights on the card were Minoru Suzuki, who took on Vernon White. Pancrase co-founder Funaki took on Ryushi Yanagisawa, while Bas Rutten faced Takaku Fuke.
