H.F.F.M. - "Hands off Mom" - is the name of an association founded by four siblings to keep their mother all to themselves. Now they don't want any more strangers in their private paradise. The small family lives in a cozy attic apartment in Copenhagen. The mother is a writer, and since she is divorced, she has to manage on her own.

Marianne is a sales assistant at the elegant fashion boutique Chez Madame on Strøget. She is a wallflower, and when the wealthy man of the world John Bagger, one of the store's customers, invites her out on New Year's Eve wearing the store's most beautiful dress, she experiences it as a romantic adventure. But everyday life returns after the big night.

The young siblings at the Hejrenæs estate, Vibeke and Hans-Henrik, have always gotten along well, so Hans-Henrik decides to celebrate his sister's 21st birthday with a big party at the estate. During the party, the siblings' childhood friend, Ulla, provokes an engagement with Hans-Henrik, and at the same party, Vibeke learns that she is "only" an adopted child. From that day on, Vibeke realizes that she is in love with Hans-Henrik, and suddenly the stage is set for a sharp conflict between Ulla and Vibeke.

At Helene Dragstrup's 20th birthday, her grandmother Margrethe decides that it is time that Helene learns something about life outside the protective walls of the estate.

In the year 1646, Denmark is at peace. Only recently have the last occupying troops left Jutland, leaving behind the sad traces of iron heels. The administration has partially collapsed, the kingdom is short of money, and what money there is is unevenly distributed. This is the unusual and sad background to this unpretentious account.

This film could easily be a true story taken from contemporary Denmark. It is a typical Tuesday morning: stormy weather, slush, and bitter cold. Two young women are cycling to work. They make an unpleasant discovery: they find a dead man on a bench in the park.

In "Ugens Ekko," the editor's greatest asset is "Aunt Oda," the renowned "love doctor" who provides the magazine's readers with advice and guidance on matters of the heart every week. Only those in the know are aware that "Aunt Oda" is in fact the young poet Ambrosius Hansen, who once impressed editor Vestergaard with some words about women.

A bunch of wagons are crossing the border. It's the Karla Circus, which, after a rough season in Germany, is gonna try its luck in Denmark. Mrs. Karla, the beloved and respected circus director, goes through passports and papers with the customs officers... everything's fine, so the circus caravan can keep going to the next town. One of the circus employees is caught harboring a vagrant in his wagon. But when it turns out that the vagrant is an excellent flute player, he becomes an asset to Circus Karla.

Two rival young men both desire the merchant's pretty daughter, a bad young man robs the merchant's safe and blames it on "mother-in-law's dream", a worldly-wise grandmother directs the battle of love from her living room, and a couple of silly railway workers spread song and joy.

Behind the Red Gates is a terrific folk comedy that takes us behind the attractions at the traditional amusement park in Klampenborg.

Anders returns to Denmark to visit his ill mom too late. Her lawyer tells him he's the illegitimate child of an estate owner. He goes there incognito and works on the big farm and falls for the maid and later for a gold digger.

At Vesterbros Torv in Copenhagen, Olsen has his newspaper kiosk. Here comes high and low in society: Homeless, a district attorney with pain in marriage, a barmaid and a writer. They all fight with theirs, while Olsen's good heart makes him interfere in everything he can.

Frederik Larsen (Lau Lauritzen Jr.), a sailor and has sailed since he was 15. Now he has lost the desire for a sailor life, especially after his best friend Bob was lost in a hurricane. When his ship docks at Copenhagen, shortly before Christmas, he signs off with all his hire on the pocket. He seeks accommodations in sailor home Bertel, located on the nice side of Nyhavn. Here he can stay and eat for very little money. He delivers his kitbag to the concierge Henrik (Mogens Hermansen) before he was lured by accordion music and the laughter that comes to him from the "naughty" side of Nyhavn. In the Cafe "The black sails", he accidently joins Inger (Lisbeth Movin) at the same table, whose profession is not in the phone book, although it is the world's oldest. Inger is in the company of an unemployed stoker Vladimir W. Olsen (Poul Reichhardt) that is full of scams, and has a good mood.

Fourteen-year-old Jan and his companion Erling appear as extras in a film being filmed at Nordisk Film's studios in Valby. A mysterious burglary at the studio's fine mechanics workshop gives the two healthy boys the opportunity to act as detectives.

Kjeld Petersen plays a merchant who has stolen his clothes when he is out take a dip in the Sound. He stopped by the police, and they find a call to military service in his pocket, after further complications lands him at the barracks, where he came under the loving care of 66 (Dirch compatible) and 65 (Ove Sprogø). So the stage is set for lots of fun and games, in the right old style.

The estate Hjortholm is rescued from bankruptcy, as the pleasant doctor Christian Riis fetches the young engineer Erik Kongsted to the estate.

Composer John Berger is plagued by marital problems and struggling with a deadline for the music for an operetta. When he is visited by the muse of music, Polyhymnia, the melodies begin to flow, but she also causes a lot of complications in his earthly life. Like John's wife Irene, she falls in love with flight lieutenant Harry, while her father Zeus looks on disapprovingly and decides to intervene. Meanwhile, the premiere of the operetta is fast approaching.

The beautiful and spoiled manufacturer's daughter Helga defiantly bets with her friends whether she can survive a whole year as a working housekeeper without financial help.

Landowner Munk has problems – he cherishes his wild moorland and does not want to parcel it out. His friend Martin Hald tries to mediate, but in vain. At the same time, Munk is worried about his nephew Jørgen, who grew up with him. He is in prison – convicted on false grounds. In prison, he has a friend named "Fusser," and when they are released, Fusser decides to investigate Jørgen's case.

It all happens over two days and—naturally—and in particular—two nights. A perfectly ordinary girl gets herself into a lot of trouble because of her slightly too big heart, which exposes her to trials and temptations she cannot overcome without the help of little white lies and pretence. The aspiring amateur boxer Oscar and the 2 daughters Else-Margrethe and Birthe. She has shared in the children's sorrows and joys and has often lent them money when they have had dry pocket pains. She has praised and scolded them at the right times - in short, she has been in their mother's place. Both the professor and the children take her for granted. They take her services, big and small, for granted, and do not quite understand what she really means to them.

"Our Lord goes on vacation" - Mr. Schwartz and Mr. White looks like ordinary people but are actually supernaturals. Schwartz is emitted by the Devil to spread evil among the people and the White of God to spread goodness.

Peter Soeborg and Susanne have been happily married for a month. He is a postman, but very gifted voice and in a couple of years participated as korherre Alhambra Theatre's operettas. Peter and especially his cute little wife proud dreams for the future, and their mutual friend, the old dresser Kragelund, who lives in the same house, also believe in Peter's abilities. There has to be premiered at the operetta "Love", and Peter hopes to be considered. But it should prove to be quite easy.

The small local train trundles laboriously into Torslev station. The stationmaster is standing on the platform wearing slippers, waiting for the train. When it stops, it turns out that there is only one passenger on board. A younger, strange-looking, elegantly dressed man steps onto the platform with a couple of suitcases with lots of nice brands from foreign countries. The man's name is Nelson. Many years ago he went abroad. Now he is returning home to see how things are in his hometown.

He, on the other hand, only has eyes for himself. While completing his film dream, Dan saves script girl Irma from burning to death in the editing room. Meanwhile, Lise has decided to leave Copenhagen.

The film depicts a series of events that take place in a Copenhagen apartment building while the gate is closed, specifically between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m., and we encounter a number of human destinies, happy and unhappy, just as in real life.

The priest on Snarø, Adam Valerius, is a widower for three years, and the young ladies in the parish are queuing up to become the next priest's wife. But when Adam's single housekeeper suddenly becomes pregnant, the small community gets talking, and soon the bishop is summoned. A comedy about the young Marie who works in a daycare. However, the house where her work is located has been sold and the new owner does not want the daycare to remain, because he is only interested in dogs. Ms. Kirkemus, as Berg has named her, brings life to the entire office and a business trip to Stockholm, where half the staff participates, becomes no less festive thanks to her. But Ms. Kirkemus has fallen in love with her director and it doesn't really suit her that Berg is meeting another girl in Stockholm and then the antics get even more intense...

The film presents Mr. Larsen, who without wanting to and without knowing it, is ruthless when he rides a bicycle and spreads fear and arouses anger around him. Also at home, he acts ruthlessly until his son reminds him of §2. The film ends with an invitation to people to become §2 people. §2 requires people to exercise caution and consideration.

The film could just as well have been called "Where there is room in the heart, there is also room in the house," because it is actually about an old, seasoned people person's solution to the housing problem. He solves it in his own – admittedly unusual – way, but he solves it! Had he been a little more discreet, his invention would never have been discovered – and he could have lived the rest of his life carefree. But this experienced judge of character – whom we call "the Professor" – had one major flaw: his overly big heart for the small and unfortunate members of society in general and the homeless in particular. It is this unfortunate heart that sets the film in motion and accelerates the events.

Composer Jørgen Rhoders lives an easy life, at least according to his son Per. Per and his stepsister, Ulla, decide to give their father a little trouble so that his compositions will improve. The great film director Stenbuk reads sensational articles about a major smuggling affair, and he sends a manuscript back to two writers with the message that if they do not come up with a smuggling-themed manuscript within eight days, they can run and chicken.

The wealthy Olaf Brammer is the real owner of a nationwide company that trades in household goods. But he has no say, as the authoritative general manager Schram manages both the business and Olaf Brammer with a sure hand. The situation at work, defeat in love and a dead goldfish make Olaf Brammer depressed, and he decides to travel away from it all.

A marine musical comedy from Denmark. The radio operator, Hjalmar Olsen, lives in Nyboder. One evening, two young people, the painter Peter Sommer and the sweet, young courtesan Vera Holm, get to know each other in a very dramatic way. He meets her outside the property where he has his studio, and when she pretends to have an errand there, he willingly lets her in. When Vera suddenly pulls a revolver and shoots a stranger, and Peter in the heat of the fight receives a stab wound, there is a great commotion in the property, and an explanation is demanded.
