5.0It sounds like a budding writer's dream: a bestselling first novel, a luxurious house in Malibu, and a trophy wife... But it all unravels when writer's block and a failed marriage send Richard McMurray out into the streets.

5.3Dick Kendred (Tom Villard) is a frustrated writer whose latest book has been turned down by every publisher around. His work seems to be missing one key ingredient: half-nude chicks. In an effort to cure his writer's block (and get some much needed inspiration), Dick rents a room from a couple of women who waste no time hitting on him. Talk about invoking the muse! This lighthearted romp won the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival.
The Trouble with Dick
1987
4.0Philip Van Horn, who left his small town a long time ago to become a Hollywood actor and hasn't had any success at that, returns to the town for a visit. There he is uniformally met like some kind of celebrity and movie star. He uses it to impress his (and everybody's) school love Dorothy, her life now a grey boring experience.
Dogtown
1997
NRSome chase money, fame or power. For Maxwell Colonna-Dashwood and his wife Lesley, it’s flavor. From award-winning director Gary Walkow (with a little help from his son Harry) comes Chasing Flavor, a caffeine-fueled adventure through the world of speciality coffee. Shot over a period of six years, the film follows the Dashwoods from scientific laboratories to the World Barista Championship and beyond in their quest for the perfect cup. You’ll never look at your morning coffee the same way again.

NRGary Walkow shot this film in 1977 and completed it in 1978. In the August 1979 issue of "American Cinematographer" Tom Frei wrote an article "Moving Camera Shots inside a Moving Automobile." The entire film was shot inside of a Oldsmobile Starfire. Gary looped the entire soundtrack but now feels it would have been much better using the production sound. Oh, well.
