A traveling magician and his troupe arrive in a Swedish town in the 1840s, where their act is scrutinized by local authorities and a skeptical medical official. Their stay leads to a series of confrontations that test the boundaries between performance, belief, and deception.

It is in a battlefield in Karelia, Finland during the Continuation war (1941-1944). Intensive shooting between Finnish and Soviet troops takes place. Her boyfriend was unemployed and needed money and to help him she stole money.

Arthur, a university professor, and former political activist, lives in France with Francesca. They decide to hire a young man in order to help the teacher organize his notes. The employee leaves his girlfriend Ingrid and moves in with the couple.

Orphan boy and vicar's daughter fall in love but her father is strongly opposed to their relationship.

Two photographers from Stockholm go to the west coast on behalf of their employer, who is a swimwear manufacturer. They will look for the season's most beautiful bathing girl, but it will be harder than they think to find the ideal model.
