EliteXC: Primetime main card aired live on CBS, marking the first time a MMA event aired in primetime on major American network television. The most hyped fights was Kimbo Slice vs James Thompson, Robbie Lawler vs Scott Smith and Gina Carano vs Kaitlin Young.

UFC Fight Night 175: Smith vs. Rakić was a mixed martial arts event produced by the Ultimate Fighting Championship that took place on August 29, 2020, at the UFC Apex facility in Enterprise, Nevada, part of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Area, United States. A light heavyweight bout between former UFC Light Heavyweight Championship challenger Anthony Smith and Aleksandar Rakić would serve as a three-round main event.

Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Jardine was a mixed martial arts event held by Strikeforce. The event took place on January 7, 2012 at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Beginning with this event, the preliminary matches aired live on the Showtime Extreme channel prior to the main card airing on Showtime. Miesha Tate was expected to defend her Women's Bantamweight Championship against Sarah Kaufman on this card, but the bout never materialized. Luke Rockhold was expected to fight Tim Kennedy, though an injury left Kennedy unable to compete at this event. Bobby Green was originally scheduled to face Alonzo Martinez, but had to withdraw due to an injury.

EliteXC: Unfinished Business was a mixed martial arts event held by EliteXC on July 26, 2008 in Stockton, CA at Stockton Arena. The main event featured a rematch between Middleweight Champion Robbie Lawler and Scott Smith. This event was the second EliteXC event to air on CBS.

The event was expected to be headlined by a 145 lbs UFC Featherweight Championship bout between current champion José Aldo and top contender Conor McGregor. Aldo pulled out of the bout and a interim championship bout between Chad Mendes and McGregor took place at this event. The UFC received official medical confirmation from several doctors that Aldo did not have a broken rib as he claimed and the biggest problem was the weight cutting process being complicated by the injury. This was confirmed when a release of an Xray tied to an old injury was released by Aldo's camp. UFC 40: Vendetta was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on November 22, 2002, at the MGM Grand Arena on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. The event was broadcast live on pay per view in the United States, and later released on DVD. UFC 40 contained one of the biggest, most important and most anticipated fights in UFC history, a UFC Light Heavyweight Championship fight between rivals Tito Ortiz and Ken Shamrock. Shamrock, a popular legendary fighter and former champion from the UFC's early years, was returning to the UFC for the first time since 1996. The fight was coined "the biggest fight in UFC history" by the UFC during the event.

UFC 47: It's On! was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The title "It's On!" refers to Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz' long running negotiations leading up to the fight.

UFC 235: Jones vs. Smith was a mixed martial arts event produced by the Ultimate Fighting Championship held on March 2, 2019 at T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada, part of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Area. A UFC Light Heavyweight Championship bout between two-time champion Jon Jones and challenger Anthony Smith headlined the event.

UFC 167: St-Pierre vs. Hendricks is a mixed martial arts event held on November 16, 2013, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, U.S. The event will commemorate the organization's 20th anniversary. The main event is a UFC Welterweight Championship bout between the current champion Georges St-Pierre and #1 contender Johny Hendricks. Co-featured on the card is a light-heavyweight bout between former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Rashad Evans and Chael Sonnen.

UFC on Fox 26: Lawler vs. dos Anjos was a mixed martial arts event produced by the Ultimate Fighting Championship held on December 16, 2017, at the Bell MTS Place in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The event was headlined by a welterweight bout between former UFC Welterweight Champion Robbie Lawler and former UFC Lightweight Champion Rafael dos Anjos. On October 13, UFC President Dana White announced that the winner of the main event would receive a title shot against current champion Tyron Woodley, who won the belt by defeating Lawler by first-round knockout at UFC 201.

UFC 42: Sudden Impact was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida. UFC 42 was the first UFC event to take place in Florida. Headlining the event was a Welterweight Title bout between Matt Hughes and Sean Sherk. UFC 42 also marked the first UFC appearance of future Middleweight Champion Rich Franklin.

UFC 50: The War of '04 was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship at the Trump Plaza in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Headlining the card were Tito Ortiz and Patrick Côté. Côté was a late replacement for Lion's Den fighter Guy Mezger, who pulled out of the event due to a medical condition. It also featured the Middleweight debut of future champion Rich Franklin.

UFC 276: Adesanya vs. Cannonier was a mixed martial arts event produced by the Ultimate Fighting Championship that took place on July 2, 2022, at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada, part of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Area, United States. The event was held during the UFC's 10th annual International Fight Week. The 2022 UFC Hall of Fame induction ceremony also took place during the week. A UFC Middleweight Championship bout between current champion Israel Adesanya and Jared Cannonier headlined the event.

UFC 266: Volkanovski vs. Ortega was a mixed martial arts event produced by the Ultimate Fighting Championship that took place on September 25, 2021 at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada, part of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Area, United States. A UFC Featherweight Championship bout between current champion Alexander Volkanovski and former title challenger Brian Ortega headlined the event.

Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Kennedy was a mixed martial arts event held by Strikeforce. The event took place on July 14, 2012 at the Rose Garden in Portland, Oregon, Oregon.

Pride 32: The Real Deal was a mixed martial arts event and was held by the Pride Fighting Championships. The event took place on October 21, 2006, at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was the first Pride event to be held outside of Japan, and in front of an audience of 11,727 (8,079 paid).Since the event took place in Nevada, Pride had to modify its rules to follow Nevada's version of the Unified Rules of Mixed Martial Arts for this event. Pride followed Nevada's MMA rules for the most part, in effect using the same rules as other promotions in Nevada like the UFC, but it used a ring to stage contests and prohibited elbows to the head as it already did in its own rules (Elbow strikes are allowed in UFC). Matches were three rounds of five minutes each, and if a match went the distance, it would be judged by Nevada's 10-point must system with Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) judges, which is different from Pride's own judging criteria.

UFC 181: Hendricks vs. Lawler II was a mixed martial arts event held on December 6, 2014 at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The main event was a Welterweight championship rematch between champion Johny Hendricks and number one contender Robbie Lawler. Their first fight at UFC 171 ended in a unanimous decision victory in favor of the reigning champion. The Co-main event featured was a Lightweight Championship bout, which also served as the coaches bout for The Ultimate Fighter Season 20, as current champion Anthony Pettis made his first title defense against Gilbert Melendez.

UFC 214: Cormier vs. Jones 2 is a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on July 29, 2017 at Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
