Melodifestivalen (direct translation: The Melody Festival) is an annual music competition organised by Swedish public broadcaster Sveriges Television (SVT). The competition is a six part tour (5 heats + the final) with stops in cities across Sweden to determine the country's representative for the Eurovision Song Contest. Melodifestivalen is also known informally as "Mello", or internationally as "Melfest".

Swedish novelist Jan Guillou has criticized SVT for subtitling the program, stating "there is no need for that. Nilsson, who has hosted the show since 2004. Current team members include Babben Larsson, Robin Paulsson, Johan Rheborg and Johan Glans. Kodjo Akolor has also been featured. The program is a Swedish version of the short-run British show If I Ruled the World, which itself was as spin-off from Have I Got News For You - both produced by Hat Trick Productions. The comedians are divided into two teams, red and blue, representing traditional political colours. At the end of the show, the audience vote for the winners based on which team was funniest.

Doobidoo is a Swedish musical game show first aired in 2005 on the public service network SVT. 100 höjdare was a Swedish TV series which was produced and aired on Kanal 5. Six seasons of the show were produced and it ran from 2004 to 2008. It was hosted by the comedy duo Filip Hammar & Fredrik Wikingsson. In the first three seasons the hosts presented funny moments, often in the form of video clips, listing their 100 all-time favorites. In season two and three they also discuss the clips with celebrity guests. By season four the format changed and instead of showing clips, Filip and Fredrik made impromptu interviews with people, often in their homes.

Ten of Sweden's best comedians compete to make each other laugh, without bursting into laughter themselves. Anyone who can't keep up goes out of the competition where 500,000 SEK for charity is at stake. All under the direction of Eva Röse.

Snacka om nyheter was the Swedish version of the BBC series Have I Got News for You, broadcast by Sveriges Television. It was first broadcast on March 5, 1995 on TV2 and hosted by Stellan Sundahl. On February 22, 1999, Stellan Sundahl died, days after taping an episode that was shown the day before he died. The show was put on hiatus and the three remaining episodes were replaced by commemorative programmes. The show returned in November 2000 and was hosted by Sven Melander who would continue hosting it until the show's cancellation. The last programme was broadcast on December 21, 2003. Snacka om nyheter took many rounds from the British original, including the "Film Round", "Tabloid Headlines", "Odd One Out", "Missing Words" and "Caption Competition". Other elements borrowed from Have I Got News for You were the opening that included the phrase "Good evening and welcome to Snacka om nyheter" followed by a punch-line and the three "news reports" in the beginning as well as the humorous delivery of the scores. In 2008 the show began airing again, this time on Kanal 9, hosted by Kajsa Ingmarsson and produced by Jarowskij.

Glenn Killing at Grand is a cabaret show from 2000 by the Killinggänget troupe, recorded at the Grand Hôtel in Stockholm. Some classic characters from the Killinggänget's earlier productions appeared, as well as completely new characters and sketches.

After an incident with a hot air balloon burner, Morran and her son Tobias have reduced their home of 34 years to ashes. With a burnt out caravan in tow filled with sooty household goods they make their move to a new council house. Whilst Morran sees the opportunity for a fresh start, Tobias has lots of creative ideas about improving the house. But there is something about their new home that feels familiar, and through a series of fortuitous events the lopsided duo are once and for all forced to deal with the past.
