Pippi Longstocking, a super-strong redheaded little girl, moves into her father's cottage Villa Villekulla, and has adventures with her next-door neighbors Tommy and Annika in this compilation film of the classic Swedish TV series. This was followed by Pippi Goes on Board.

Fed up with their strict parents, Tommy and Annika run away from home, with their friend Pippi Longstocking to look after them in their long trek.

Pippi Longstocking lives alone in Villekulla because her mother is an angel in heaven and her father is a pirate king in the Southern Seas. She befriends her next door neighbors, siblings Tommy and Annika, who are swept into Pippi's wild adventures.

Pippi prepares for Christmas. She bakes a huge number of gingerbread biscuits. In the big tree outside her house she has hung lots of Christmas presents. At Christmas Eve she sits at her window, looking out in the darkness at all the presents hanging in the tree. She feels lonely and thinks with sadness about having no one to give the presents to.
