*Maruja Mallo: Half Angel, Half Shellfish* explores the life and work of the painter through testimonies from the artist herself, friends and scholars. It delves into her unique inner and artistic world, tracing her evolution throughout the 20th century, from figurative painting to abstraction. The documentary portrays a woman who defied the social conventions of her time, yet has long been denied the recognition she deserves in the history of Spanish art.
