NRA bittersweet drama and intimate road movie about the clash of two different worlds. Marta, a once-popular Polish singer, receives devastating news of the sudden death of her adult son, Daniel, in Guatemala. Determined to bring his body home, she embarks on a long journey. Upon arrival, she is met by Marco—Daniel’s partner, whose existence she had known nothing about. Their shared trek through the dense countryside and remote Guatemalan wilderness—initially marked by mistrust and a struggle for control—slowly evolves into a moving confrontation with her own preconceptions about her late son and questions regarding the boundaries of intimacy. A sensual story set against the exotic landscapes of Guatemala, exploring grief, maternal love, and the challenging quest to understand the identities of those closest to us.
