40 years ago in Mexico, a group of women filmmakers gathered to make films dealing with taboo subjects, gender violence, rape, feminicide, clandestine abortion, labor discrimination. They called themselves “Cine Mujer” and were active as a collective for over 10 years. Today they reflect on violence against women and their continuous struggles, which are still prevalent in modern society.

Discusses the mass immigration to the United States from the Dominican Republic due to the poor economic conditions there. Includes interviews with people, primarily women, who have emigrated and gives details on the hardships the travelers endure.

Each one of the 15 lighthouses around the island of Puerto Rico tells the story of the lighthouse keepers, wives or daughters that lived in them. Additional testimonies by architects, historians, biologists and fishermen take us on a trip of beauty, hope, perseverance around them, as we witness the magnificence of its structures and its magical surroundings. Some lighthouses are active, some have been restored, others have been abandoned but all have a unique story to tell.
