In 1956, advertising copywriter Emmi Creola invents the fictional character Betty Bossi, who quickly becomes a Swiss culinary icon. Spring 1995 - after the closure of the Needle Park and the public drug scene in Zurich, eleven-year-old Mia and her heroin addicted mother Sandrine are relocated to the countryside. While caring for her mother, Mia spends time with her imaginary friend and a gang of local teenage misfits. These friendships finally give her the strength to rebel and break free from her abusive mother.

It's about the lonely garbage detective Hansjörg Stähli, who's looking for a garbage criminal and true love.

Jack, who has all but failed at life, dreams of a fresh beginning abroad. Instead, he unexpectedly has to take care of his hated father Paul, who he has not seen since childhood. Paul suffers from Alzheimer's and wants to make peace with his son while he still can. But Jack has very different plans for Paul. Two worlds collide, and a journey to Ticino, the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland, turns into an odyssey back to a painfully suppressed past.

At a remote mountain lake a bound man with cemented shoes is being dragged to the water by two other men and his request for a coup de grace escalates into a clash.
