After the world's population has been ravaged by a pandemic, a man lives a lonesome existence in a Colorado airplane hangar with his dog and a dour gunman he has befriended. When a mysterious transmission comes through on the radio while he’s flying his old Cessna, it sparks a hunt for the provenance of the sound.

Large pools of white water catch the sun’s last rays in the Caldara di Manziana. The wind stirs the hair of three children playing in the mud. They are siblings: Zoe, Ettore, and Marta. Their laughter fills the silence. They are alone, yet used to it. They return home to find their mother gone. Due to a silly mistake by Zoe, they find themselves locked out. They must make it through the night... and face the darkness, the sounds, and the unknown. But above all, they must confront their own imaginations.
