Yoon Yeong-seop

The suicide of a former high-school bully puts the boy's father on a quest for answers.

7 years ago, an aspiring actress Suyeon came to Seoul after losing touch with her family, and is barely surviving by playing minor roles and chores in a small troupe. Then one day, Suyeon receives a call from Tongyeong and goes down there.

The politician Koo Myung-hui finds his wife in the garage. She is cleaning her son's bloodstained car, which has just run over a person.

When his mother goes missing, Lee Ho-yeon sets out to search for her. In the course of that journey, he discovers his parents' pasts during the democracy protests of the 1980s when student activists rose up against the repressive Chun Doo-hwan regime. Reading a book written by his mother, Ho-yeon uncovers a story of hope, love and betrayal, and struggles to understand painful secrets that have been hidden away for thirty years.
