Years after WWII a group of German "tourists" arrives in Poland to find a hidden Nazi treasure.

Told in flashback as Mieszko lies feverish in his bed just before the Battle of Cedynia, Gniazdo recounts how the revered leader extended Poland's borders, formed an alliance with Emperor Otto I, and ultimately strengthened his country's autonomy by achieving victory during that crucial battle in the year 972.

In 1931, just before the New Year, in a house of architect Henryk Zaremba scream rips the night. The daughter of Zaremba is found killed in her bedroom, obviously killed with a pickaxe. The police arrives and starts the investigation. Rita Gorgonova, the governess of the girl and also lover of Zaremba becomes the main suspect.

The film takes place during the first four days of the Warsaw Uprising. The main character is Krzysztof Kamil Baczyński, one of the most outstanding poets of the young war generation. The film is a pseudo-documentary account of the last days of the artist's life. We learn about his earlier life through numerous flashbacks. The film uses a lot of archival material, memorabilia, and eyewitness accounts of the poet's death.

September 13, 1944. On the right bank of the Vistula, a group of young people is getting ready to cross to help the fighting Warsaw. Tadeusz, a young poet with amputated legs meets Katarzyna. The life of the great Bolshevik leader before the Russian revolution is chronicled in this bio-pic. Much of the tale centers on his exile in Poland where Lenin becomes friends with two peasants. The little girl has a strong belief in the nationalist cause. Later Lenin hears she was killed for withholding information about him.

Narutowicz was a professor who until his election had been living in Switzerland. Those were chaotic times, and shortly after his election, he was assassinated by right-wing fanatics. This epic Polish film chronicles the circumstances of Narutowicz's election and assassination.

Prison, interrogation by the Gestapo, torture. They do not break. The war ends. For a time, they lose touch with each other... In Warsaw, next to the ruined house where they used to live, they find the insurgent graves of their parents.
