Fateh Muhammad, aka Fattu, aspired to be a Pakistani cinema superstar but was rejected from every studio in Lahore due to his ineptitude. Meanwhile, his doppelganger, Jani, a thief, wanted to quit his life of crime after becoming a police suspect. R Bukhari discovered Fattu and hatched a plan to deceive the police and the world by turning Jani into a superstar, using Fattu as a front.
