Miette Deschenes

Miette Deschenes is an award-winning writer, director, and editor based in Los Angeles. She studied film production at The Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA. Her work explores body horror, feminism, and the terrors of being a person online. Her debut short film morningshed (2026) won the award for Best Performance at Scumdance Film Festival, Best in Horror at Ventura ArtWalk CineFest, and an honorable mention at The Great Film Festival. She has also written and produced video essays and artist interviews. She is currently developing her next short film and trying very hard to stop telling her friends how much she loves David Lynch every 20 minutes.
