Valayapathi is a 1952 Tamil-language Indian feature film directed and produced by T. R. Sundaram under Modern Theatres. Based on the classical Tamil epic of the same name, the film stars G. Muthukrishnan and marks the feature film acting debut of renowned actress Sowcar Janak

Sundaram, a banker, is suspected to be murdered soon after which his daughter, Visalakshi, goes missing. Later, amateur detective, Govindan, investigates the case and makes some shocking revelations.
