1930, British India: In the province of undivided Bengal lies the sleepy, peaceful port of Chittagong. In this unassuming little town a revolution is about to begin; a revolution which will forever wake all of Chittagong and inspire the entire nation.

Gayatri's mother-in-law Bindu Devi tries to set fire to her on her wedding night for her dowry; her husband Jainath is equally responsible for this attempt. Gayatri is saved by Triloki, but he doesn't have good intentions: he rapes her. Gayatri saves another woman from getting molested and both meet Maataji, who is also a victim of dowry. Maataji trains helpless women to fight against injustice and Gayatri turns into a rebel.

Gopika Sharma lives a middle-classed lifestyle along with her widowed mother in Bangalore. Once there, she comes across Deepak, who will not have anything to do with her, and gives her some money to look after herself and the child. She abandons the child in a taxi-cab, and the child ends up with Deepak's sister, Neela. Watch how hilarious chaos reigns as the child keeps on ending up with Deepak - no matter what he does to get rid of it.
