Some time after the couple flees abroad, they send an Italian girl to Turkey to retrieve their children. The Italian girl, who wants to take the child left with the "Emanetçi Anne" and bring it to its parents, finds herself caught up in a series of interesting events.

A male (Yilmaz Erdogan) and female (Demet Akbag) meets at desolate balcony during a party. After a little while they start to talk via phone for hours and like each other. Written by Yılmaz Erdoğan and first staged at the Beşiktaş Cultural Center (BKM) in 1995, Otogargara ran for four seasons to sold-out audiences. The play was also performed 468 times in many provinces and districts of Anatolia between 1995 and 1999, in addition to Ankara and İzmir. During its run at BKM, Otogargara was directed by Turgay Kantürk and featured Yılmaz Erdoğan, Demet Akbağ, Sinan Bengier, Olgun Şimşek, Zerrin Sümer, Erdoğan Dikmen, Gürdal Tosun, Evrim Solmaz, and Serhat Özcan, along with 22 other actors and dancers. It was the first play produced by BKM.

The film is set in a world where traditional gender roles between women and men are reversed. Bitirim Leyla and Sarı Leman are the tough, street-smart women of their neighborhood. While Leman works in a factory, Leyla makes a living through small-time scams on the streets. Leyla cheats on her husband with a young man from the neighborhood, while Leman spends her time with male prostitutes. However, the lifestyle they lead eventually draws both women into crime.

Ali is a journalist who conducts unsubstantiated interviews. While taking photographs for a story about aliens, he comes across a flying saucer. Out of it comes Homoti from the planet Homon. Homoti does not want Ali to report on him because he does not want to be recognized in the world. However, when journalists soon learn of his existence, they compete for the news. Homoti will have to use her special powers.
