The story follows Rajni, a shape-shifting cobra (Ichchadhari Naagin) who marries a civilian, Rajiv, to avenge the death of her spouse at the hands of an evil saint. Rajiv, who comes from a wealthy family, returns to India after studying in London. His mother wants him to marry Vijaya Singh, but he falls in love with Rajni, an orphan. His mother initially opposes the marriage but later agrees. Their happiness is disrupted when Bhairon Nath, a sadhu with the ability to control snakes, arrives and reveals that Rajni is actually a Naagin seeking revenge. Bhairon Nath has his own sinister motives—he wants to capture Rajni because she knows the location of a hidden Mani, a sacred jewel that would grant him immense power. A dramatic battle ensues, leading to Bhairon Nath’s defeat, and Rajiv and Rajni live happily ever after.

Handsome and fairly good-looking Anil Kumar is employed with Natwarlal, who is a criminal gangster. The dam is eventually built bringing greenery to an arid region. His wife bears a son and lives on in the village.

Shakti Singh is a poor, hardworking boiler mechanic who lives a happy life with his wife Seeta, mother, and two sons, Arjun and Vijay. Shakti always falsely fights against injustice. Kajal does not like his father-in-law as he is involved in illegal activities; Arjun is self-employed; Vijay has some bad habits for which he often quarrels with his father. Shakti has enemies and traitors in his business. The situation worsens when Vijay is killed.

A literary film based on a play in three acts, One Day Before the Rainy Season (Ashad Ka Ek Din) portrays the love of Mallika and Kalidasa, the renowned Sanskrit poet and dramatist.
