Sibling rivalry abounds in this film about two privileged brothers, Anwar and Nawab, and the women who come between them. Nawab, although a married man and father, engages in frequent secret rendezvous with his mistress, Benazir. Meanwhile, Anwar declares his love for a woman named Shahida, whom he desires to wed. Biology professor and her students, including a convent nun go on a field trip, and stay at a Public Rooming House of a male group, led by retired colonel. But fate has other plans for them.

Kalyani lives in a small tenement with three sons, Vijay, Nandu, and Bhola, all of whom are unemployed, slackers and trouble-makers. One day Nandu gets into serious trouble with Shantilal, who summons the police, and has him arrested. Kalyani goes to the Police Station to plead with the In-Charge Officer to release Nandu, to no avail. She then goes to Shantilal to try to persuade him to withdraw the charges, also to no avail.

Sunil Mehta is a businessman married to a pretty and loving wife, Geeta. Sunil's only problem is she is easily led to suspicion. One day while returning from office, Sunil is attracted by the sight of a wayside carnival and decides to try the Giant Wheel drive reminiscing his childhood days. Unfortunately, Sunil gets stuck in mid-air due to a mechanical problem in the Giant Wheel and is unable to return home till the next morning. Geeta suspects Sunil is seeing someone else and even though Sunil says the truth to Geeta, she doesn't believe it and so starts a hilarious and twisted tale that engulfs three happily married couples.
