The two friends, Fy and Bi, come wandering along the country road as so many times before without a destination and - without food. Hunger torments them, and they stop with wide eyes at a bakery truck, whose back door is open and opens the view to sumptuous trays of pastries and mayor's bars. However, they get a long nose and wander on to an old castle, where they seek accommodation for the night. In the castle cellar they open a book - and immediately they are back in the exciting events and deadly battles of the 15th century. And again we are back in the castle cellar, where Fy now with a bang closes the dusty, old book, and the two set out on the country road again.

The attic of a city house is the home to a colony of artists. Among them is a writer, whose corpus is larger than her output. We also meet a hard-of-hearing poet who can still hear the grass growing. There's a painter, a sculptor and more. All are penniless - hoping that one day they will experience their breakthrough. "The Seventh Heaven", as the corridor is called, also houses two prominent residents, Fyrtårnet and Bivognen. They have set up a small diner and engage lively with the artist from the colony.

In a boarding house in the city live our friends Pat and Patachon, who have settled down in relative comfort for a modest sum of money. In the room next door lives an old inventor, a good friend of Pat and Patachon's. He’s been working on a television set for some time now, and it seems that his efforts will bear fruit. Patachon has caught the inventing bug and wants to come up with smokeless and noiseless gunpowder. All the while, Pat becomes increasingly worried about his friend. Two shady gentlemen are now attempting to steal the valuable drawings for the television invention, and Pat and Patachon become suspects in the case. Fortunately, the real thieves are caught, and Patachon gets the opportunity to demonstrate his ingenious invention.

Fyrtårnet and Bivognen are gardeners at a residence for young women. Here they are friends with budding actress Eva, but when the three reveal one evening during the performance of an illegal theater performance, they are kicked out. By detours, they get on board a schooner, where Fy and Bi play up to dance and get seasick, while Eva still has her course set against the sloping boards.

Fy and Bi have moved into a very "modern" apartment and they now want to make their careers on the sloping boards. The sidecar is an excellent shooter and his role model is Wilhelm Tell. He therefore gets a brilliant idea: The lighthouse must stand with an apple on its head, and the Beehive will then shoot it down.

Two down and out circus performers on a ship to South America get their hands on a lottery ticket and uncover the identity of a jewel thief.

There are many ways to travel! Rich Director Brown's two young daughters prefer a first-class coupe in a high-speed train. While the train whizzes along the rails on its way to the big city, the young ladies in a strange way meet two strange guys, one long and thin, the other small and thick ... Fy and Bi! Fy and Bi are on their way to the capital to look for a place, they have an introductory letter with them, and it turns out that it is for the young ladies' father. The two young ladies promise to put a good word in for them, but director Brown receives Fy and Bi with much distrust, and he throws them out. Through many trials and a breathtaking ride in a motorboat, however, Fy and Bi manage to make a good impression on the director.

Sam Murphy and Jack Fenton find an old message in a bottle that shipwrecked threw into the water 100 years ago. Out of curiosity, they look for the island and are surprised to meet people here. Love confusion quickly occurs, and Fenton and Murphy want to leave the island with their friends. But they have the bill without the jealous fiancé Douglas and certainly not with Pat and Patachon who are on the island police, fire brigade and musicians in one person...

Knox owns half of the Circus Saran and acts as a clown there. He hides his circus life from his daughter and is very embarrassed when his daughter finds out his true profession. Hans Moser, who plays Knox, performs poorly, because the character he plays is simply not funny. Leo Slezak, who owns the other half of the circus, as well as Pat and Patachon perform better. The only really good thing about this film is its music, composed by Robert Stolz; especially the song "Ein bisschen Sing-Sang und gute Kameradschaft" , which can be heard throughout the movie.

An aging doorman, after being fired from his prestigious job at a luxurious hotel, is forced to face the scorn of his friends, neighbours and society.

The merchant Blomberg is out in the countryside with his daughters and housekeeper when the idyll is suddenly shattered. The daughters head off to have fun with two young guys from Copenhagen who are on a road trip, and the vagabonds Pat and Patachon seize the chance to interfere for their own gain. The preserved material is the original Swedish version titled 'Landsvägsriddare', translated to 'Tyvepak' in Danish. The film was a huge economic success to the then Swedish owned production company Palladium. It is the first film, in which Pat and Patachon appear as a team, although not in their final constellation: As always, Pat is played by Carl Schenstrøm, whereas Patachon is embodied by Aage Bendixen instead of Harald Madsen. There is another 'Tyvepak' from 1915, which is directed by Lau Lauritzen Sr. as well. This film is a heavily revised version of the 1915-film. (stumfilm.dk)

Karina tells Märthe about the incident and they decide to teach Halfdan a lesson.

One day, Jessen announces that his boss is coming to visit from Australia, and that he will bring along his daughter, Alice. Jessen further proclaims that he wants one of his sons to marry Alice. Full of prejudice against Australians, Fritz and Jørgen end up drawing lots to determine who must accept this terrible fate. Upon arriving in Denmark, Alice decides to send her friend Elsie ahead to the country house to take the measure of the two fellows and report back to her. Two musicians, Pat and Patachon, arrive in a peaceful little town. When they are about to be arrested because noise is not tolerated on the streets, a young solicitor helps them out of trouble and subsequently finds them jobs with an elderly laundrywoman. The town’s wealthy men are content with their quiet community and refuse to listen to the solicitor’s proposals for improvements and new initiatives to help everyone make money. However, with the help of Pat and Patachon, the solicitor cleverly persuades the men to change their minds. Pat and Patachon live in the attic of an old house along with a number of other curious kinds of people. One of the residents is a fortune teller, who tells Patachon that he will inherit a fortune and marry one of the two sweet choir girls who live next door, and whom he happens to be in love with. They stroll through the streets in sharp suits, in the hopes that the two choir girls will see them and think that they’re wealthy men, who simply live in the run-down house to study the bohemian lifestyle.

A love triangle is building up to a drama in and around the old mill. The wealthy and self-absorbed Per Persson is in love with the miller’s beautiful daughter, Grethe, whose heart, however, belongs to the miller’s apprentice. To Persson’s great frustration, Grethe would never dream of choosing wealth over love, so Persson instead – and unsuccessfully – tries to get rid of his rival in all sorts of nefarious ways. As a result of various complications, Pat and Patachon are employed as helping hands at the old mill and become good friends with the miller’s widow, Grethe and the apprentice. She quickly sniffs out their attempt to make their escape without paying their bill, and while Patachon is forced to stay as collateral, Pat sets off to make some money. He becomes the subject of many unpleasant mishaps along the way, while Patachon is coerced into becoming engaged to Hulda and gets entangled in a conflict between Hulda, her daughter Grethe, and Grethe’s boyfriend Erik. When Fy and Bi finally manage to get out of the wagon, they have reached Norway, where the snow is high all over the country, and there are no houses nearby. On their hike, they suddenly find a young girl who has fallen on her skis and passed out. They have her brought to a cabin and she soon comes to herself again. Tailor Vipperup in Ebberöd has problems with liquidity: customers are bad at paying for his services while his own creditors are all the more intrusive. Clara Wieth starred in the title role of the Vampire Dancer, which is just what she was: a dancer performing her seductions on-stage. Off-stage, the young girl is kindhearted and a bit naïve. The lustful dance, during which Robert Dinesen succumbs to the dancer’s fatal charms, remained the centerpiece of the film, which was a popular success and made Wieth an international star.

Mr Basse – a cheerful, if somewhat lazy fellow – reluctantly shows up at the employment agency. It soon transpires that he is no good at selling newspapers. Dejected, he is on his way home when he happens to pass by a construction site just as the bricklayers are going on strike. Basse immediately eyes an opportunity to make a bit of money: ignoring the protests of the workmen, he has no problem with becoming a blackleg.
