From the youth directed novel of the same name by Greogor Tressnow comes a film by Detlev Buck that is a realistic portrait of life in the section of Berlin called Neukölln. It’s about power and weakness, delinquents and victims, and the difficulties a 15-year-old faces in a poor and criminal environment.

She is the blonde poison of the backyards, the femme fatale of the Wedding side street. Coolness hangs heavy on her eyelids. It could be mistaken for boredom - if it weren't for her tough tone of voice and her willingness to ice-coldly clear her opponents out of the way. One of her license-free joyrides results in an accident. A court orders her to do community service in a shared flat for the disabled, which she finds an imposition. But the "normalos" she lives with aren't that great either, and it seems as if Kroko finds something in the "spastics" that she lacks in her everyday life.

On the day of his "exit", inmate Mark does his cellmate Boxer the friendly service of delivering his daughter's last savings. However, Mark gets into trouble due to the morally incorrect behavior of others, from which he is unable to wriggle out.

In the artist colony Rocket Perelman ten people strive to live their version of freedom and independence - everybody for themselves and all together. But that's hard work, since the joined theatre production puts the groups' idealism to a hard test.

Kalli, a young girl with a strong character, works in a retirement home with Christel, a transsexual who animates dancing teas. On New Year's Eve, they meet Norman. As Christel tries an approach, he seems to be interested in Kalli .

Robin is eight when his mother Sabine becomes pregnant again. Because Sabine is overwhelmed with her child, new boyfriend and pregnancy, Robin has to go into care. When he returns home three months later, the situation has by no means improved. His mother's new boyfriend drinks, his little sister screams and the adults are constantly arguing. Then the woman from the youth welfare office turns up at the door, Robin is alone at home and his sister starts to cry...
