Ema and Gregori come from Ukraine. They were very excited about immigrating to Israel. New country, new opportunities. They cross paths with a wealthy ageing middle-class Israeli couple whose relationship is in crisis.

Based on the award-winning play and popular Israeli short story, this poignant family drama follows Rivka, 19-years-old and strong-willed, who struggles to follow the conservative lifestyle of her ultra-orthodox parents in Jerusalem. Determined to break free from her parents’ rigid worldview, she runs away to a secular farming community in the desert. The decision pushes the two generations to confront the chasm between their stringent views of tradition and modernity.

Danny Breznitz, late 40s, a detective in the Tel Aviv Police, is hospitalized following a near-fatal car accident. His relationship with his sexy mistress, Eva, early 30s, is falling apart, and his obsession with her is pushing Eva even further away. Living in the same apartment with Ruthie, his wife, are the only remains of their childless marriage. Following convalescence, Breznitz is handed an insignificant case by his hostile superior which he considers beneath him. But when an unknown body is found in the woods, and nobody cares, Dani finds a cause he can believe in. He makes a tour-de-force of Israel's "low- life" – an Arab intellectual who wants to admit to a murder he has not committed, a prostitute turned hairdresser, a pimp who poses as a born-again Jew, a homosexual artist who was excommunicated by his parents. The journey becomes an obsession that threatens to kill him but Breznitz wouldn't stop until he reveals the shocking truth...

Five stories that combine fairy tales and fantasy with wisdom, crime, and lots of original and unique humor. The common denominator in all of them is the Jaffa atmosphere as seen through the eyes of Jaffa's community: the Big Solomon, the boy Jacob, Hazuka, the laughing Samson, old Hatzura, Babula, and a host of colorful characters surrounding them.

A sequel to the theatrical film "Jaffa's Stories", based on the books by Menachem Talmi and the TV show adaptation.

Black Jack is the coming-of-age story of Jacky, a young, frivolous adventurer, searching for an identity and thirsty for love. As he is swept into the world of crime, he falls in love with a beautiful casino dealer and learns from her that in order to survive he must remain true to himself, and take responsibility for his own life.
