Vennila, the arrogant daughter of a wealthy businessman, gets married to Mani in order to inherit her grandfather's property. However, her life changes when she finds out that Mani is an ex-convict.

Pandithurai and Naachchiyaa are a childless couple in a village. When Pandithurai saves Panchavarnam, a pregnant girl, from being killed, she decides to give her child to him.

Pooja tries to befriend with Vijay but Vijay is not interested. Her father is a drug smuggler. One day, a corrupt police officer Jayanth (Raghuvaran) kills Pooja's family including her brother. Vijay decides to accommodate Pooja and Pooja compels him to teach her his skills as a hitman. What transpires later forms the crux of the story.

A son assumes that his father killed his mother and in a fit of rage, he also rapes the woman who was to marry his step-brother. However, the woman decides to help him overcome his misgivings.

Gayatri's guardian (Jaishankar) accepted for their marriage but Vasanth (S. N. Vasanth), his son, also wanted to marry her and sent henchmen to kill him. Kannan died at Gayatri's birthday party where her guardian had arranged for their engagement after Gayatri promised to help his family. Vasanth's father sent his son to jail and he apologized to Gayatri. She went to her friend Mary's village instead of her.

Rathnavelu loves Rasathi, who is in love with Kannan, brother of Veerapandi, an archrival of Rathnavelu. She is forcefully married to Rathnavelu, which leads to the death of Kannan.
