Bella Straughn is a British director, writer and actress with a Barbadian heritage. Bella Straughn is best known as a content creator known for Bella and the Boogeyman where she attempts to debunk paranormal stories. The online content and behind the scenes footage is compiled as her debut feature film exploring the toll the paranormal investigations has on Bella's psyche and the extremity caused. Bella co-directed her first short film, the Method, in January 2025 and starred as the lead. She also helped develop a feature film, Method, that is in market. She has predominantly starred in short films (Frisson Between Us, How Are You?, Straight) with her first feature extra role in the film Grey Matter. Bella is the partner and co-founder of DBD Films, which is in development and pre-production on several films (Blue Calypso, Emerald House, Ouija, Safari, Copy That, Caveman, Apocalypse When, First Gen & Soggy Chips) and TV shows (Come Again, Rise, Museum and Old Tavern). Bella Straughn attended Drama Studio London where she studied Professional Acting. She now dedicates herself to full-time directing, writing and acting where all her passions can be exercised to their fullest
