Sundarapandiyan , who has finished college and goofs around in his village with friend Murugesan , decides to pitch in when Arivazhagan seeks his help in wooing Archana . But she rejects Arivazhagan and also another suitor Bhuvaneshwaran. Complications arise when she says she has been in love with Sundarapandiyan for a long time.

Young orphans Sathya and Kadhir are raised by a local lady-goon in the dark areas of a bustling metro. They are orphaned again when she is killed by her own brother after a dispute over property. Sathya and Kadhir avenge her death, which lands them in jail. While in jail, Sathya befriends two other inmates and manages to escape with them.

Raghavan (Sarathkumar) and Velu (Vadivelu) work as cooks in a non-veg hotel. Raghavan loves Geetha (Kiran) who is the daughter of a rich man (Vijayan), but her father is against this love and insults him as a poor man. Raghavan challenges that he will be rich in a year. There is a subplot in the story, for Meenakshi (Sharmili), a daughter from a rich family; she is the apple of the eye of the family. Meenakshi ran home with her lover Raju, who worked as a driver to her house. He tells that his friend Dinesh will help them. However, Raju escaped because he saw a bad dream where he is killed by her family as if it will happen in reality. Due to that he vanishes. Raghavan understood her plight and helps her.

Two boys grow up being influenced by each other's respective fathers. While one becomes a singer, the other becomes a local goon. Incidentally, both love the same girl in college.

The movie begins in a hospital, where a mafia is involved in adulterating drugs. Unfortunately, a junior doctor (Meenakshi) manages to stumble upon their anti-social act. To safeguard themselves, the gang sets out to wipe out the junior doctor. She meets Perumal (Sundar C), a petty thief who does the job of recovering loan for an agency. He eventually vows to protect the junior doctor from her distress by putting an end to the gang and their atrocities.

Sittu is a young village girl who is betrayed by a con man who cheats her and runs away with all her jewellery. The girl is unable to find the way forward as she is stranded in a new place. How can she go back to her village? She is spotted by Dharman, a political worker, who gives her shelter in his home. A bond develops between the two. The girl’s lover has now become a politician and Dharman starts owing allegiance to him. Blinded by his affection towards the politician, Dharman refuses to see reason despite Sittu’s pleas.
