Ahmad Brilian Maulana Vitjayanto (Brian) is a writer and director from Jombang, East Java, Indonesia, and a Film and Television student at the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Yogyakarta (ISI Yogyakarta). In 2026, he was recognized as the institution’s 3rd Outstanding Student. His works have been screened and recognized at both national and international film festivals. His documentary DJUM (2025) was a finalist at Festival Film Dokumenter 2025, a semifinalist at the Tianjin International Academic Film Festival in China, and received an award at the Golden FEMI Film Festival 2026 in Bulgaria. NRJumadi, a 69-year-old garbage cart collector, has spent more than 40 years working to support his family, despite his profession often being looked down upon by some members of society. His dedication has enabled his children to pursue higher education and earn university degrees. A few months before his youngest child’s wedding, his wife suffers a stroke and hopes to recover in time to attend the celebration. As she undergoes therapy and takes medication, Jumadi works harder to support his family while caring for his wife and managing the household.
