Egon and the gang are hired to stage a robbery of an antique Chinese vase for an economically challenged baron. Naturally they fooled, which infuriates Egon. The gang tries to get back at the baron by switching the vase with a cheap Hong Kong copy. One attempt is made during the barons hunting party, where Egon ends up being bricked up in the catacombs. In another attempt, the gang has to coordinate breaking through several walls at The Royal Theater in Copenhagen with the "Elverhøj" overture.

With the parish council chairman at the helm and the minister cutting the ribbon to make it official, everything should be in perfect order. However, the county governor is absent, as he has a financial dispute with the ferrymen, brothers Søren and Peter Severinsen.

Three simple-minded fisherman brothers enjoy life. They get help from the young girl Sus, who manages the house and helps on the fishing boat. When the brothers get a good offer to borrow money for a hotel, they immediately take it. However, there is the shady contractor Gravenkop from whom they borrow the money. At the same time, people are smuggling into the city; cheap booze is in circulation. Sus, together with his friend Stille, tries to solve the crime.

The new students Eigil and Arne celebrate the end of school. "You are now grown men and women with a carnal desire that every human being contains. This desire can be like a fire in your body, but don't let yourself burn to death," their old teacher admonishes. Nevertheless, the encounter with Copenhagen and its many temptations turns out to be fateful for the charming Eigil and the otherwise faithful Arne.

Amelie is in love with a young musician. But since her parents believe she should marry someone of her own social standing, nothing immediately comes of the relationship. Hans is very much in love with Amelie. When they are seen dancing together at a music evening at Amelie's parents' house, Amelie's father throws him out. Before that, however, he falls out with Baron von Listow. Hans goes on a drinking binge, while the baron challenges his friend to a duel. The friend sends Hans to Germany to play there. Several months pass, and the baron and Amelie are to be married. When Bierbaum finds out about this, he seeks out Amelie. Little does he know that Hans has returned from Germany.
