Lim Nam Kyu is a South Korean luger and current luge coach. He graduated from Tongjin High School and later obtained a bachelor's degree in Physical Education from Yongin University. He began playing soccer at a young age but the sudden death of his father brought financial problems for the family so he decided to complete his mandatory military service around age 20-21. In college, he tried out for luge and became the top-ranked athlete in the country. He participated in the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang but finished in 30th place and briefly retired.
