Irina and Viktor's life together is difficult. Viktor works tirelessly, but he constantly receives criticism from Irina. Despite the fact that her husband has just returned from a long business trip, Irina demands that he get a ticket to the Caucasus. Their daughter has fallen in love with a local eccentric and doesn't care about her father's opinion. Victor only hears mockery from his daughter. The days pass in a gloomy and meaningless manner. When he meets the woman he once loved, Victor realizes that he married Irina only because she was expecting a child.
