WAVES, LSDC’s short dance film (15mn, 2026), follows Ancestor in the Ancestral Realm and the Waves, who are sent to the human world, the Realm of the Living, with the mission to ignite humanity with spiritual energy. Through text inspired by the Bahá’í writings and traditional Ghanaian spiritual beliefs, original choreography and rhythms and dances from Guinea, WAVES immerses us in the metaphysical realm, reminding us of our deep connection as humans to an unseen, often forgotten world.

Five dancers explore shadeism/colourism in the Black community through a series of personal interviews, performance pieces, and dance vignettes leading up to a final performance.
