The Fredriksdal outdoor theatre has been a comedy staple of Swedish summers and television in winters for decades. First under Nils Poppe and then under Eva Rydberg. But 2023 was Eva's last summer in charge of the theatre and the end of this era is celebrated by this documentary.

A young beautiful woman is found dead in Göta Älv and on her finger she wears a brilliant-set wedding ring that belongs to someone else. Detective Inspector Irene Huss and her colleagues are put on the case and immediately run into problems. The autopsy shows that the cause of death is not drowning but a head injury. Who is she? She is not missing, no one can identify her, no one knows anything. Meanwhile, in a run-down barracks area, an abused man is sitting and brooding over a terrible secret... After an elder man gets hit by a stolen car, the police decides to investigate it. The stolen car is later found next to a murdered young girl, prompting Inspector Irene Huss and her co-workers to investigate and slowly get pulled into a world of evil.

A bicycle messenger sees a girl being brutally assaulted and dragged into a van. She immediately calls the police, but unfortunately the girl is found too late. It turns out that the murdered girl has been the victim of a serious sexual crime. Detective Inspector Irene Huss and the rest of the team begin to look for the murderer, but have very few clues to go on. When another young girl is murdered in a similar way, the team realizes that they are dealing with a sexual predator. How does he get in touch with the girls? Why do they agree to meet him? Why are they wearing special underwear?

Krister is a police officer working on a case before his cancer treatment begins. A boy has disappeared and Krister knows exactly what it is like to lose a child. He also cares for his demented wife at home.
