Count Axel is a comedy that takes place somewhere in the Nordic countries in 1783. It's a classic comedy about mixed identities, with strong elements of contemporary humour and satire.

What does a cultural city consultant do when he thinks all projects are equally good, and ends up spending all the money without anyone getting anything? Erik Nietzsche is an intelligent but in many ways inexperienced shy young man who is convinced that he wants to be a film director. In the late 1970s, Erik is accepted by the Danish National Film School where he enters a world of angry and unhelpful tutors, weird fellow students and unwritten rules. In this both exhilarating and angst-provoking period for him, Erik feels increasingly like a foreigner in the film industry. Frequently, he is merely an observer of the absurdities that surround him. He encounters trade union disputes, falls in love and experiences self-assured empowered women who refuse to make a commitment. The film is a drama full of comedy - a sharp portrait of a conceited but entertaining world of film which we suspect our dogged young director will eventually conquer with his vision.

On the surface Henrik and Nina Christofferson are an ordinary family living happily. But they have a problem. Their daughter, Stine, a difficult 14 year old, has a habit of telling lies in class. When Stine accuses her father of sexual abuse, and is believed by seemingly eager social workers, their family is thrust into crisis. Could Henrik have done it? And when Stine prepares to return home, the ugly side of family life is exposed.

As a plan from the elders in the commune, he starts in a Maoist group to learn about the real ways of the society. He doesn't like it, but when his new girlfriend starts to see what he does as cool he goes into it. But at the same time, the police start to suspect him to be the terrorist who blows up telephone booths around Copenhagen.

John Diresta is a NYPD cop working in the Subway and he hates his job. Last year, he was elected the Funniest Police Officer in New York, but his ambition as a stand up comedian goes beyond this. Jerry Howards is homeless, he lives in the tunnel between 2nd Avenue and East Broadway, he has not seen his family for five years. They live in Queens, he does not dare to visit them.
